Teaming up to inspire future tech talent

Members of our team attended Lancaster University’s Computer Science recruitment event. We had the privilege of meeting the people who will help improve health data research now and in the future. The event was held on campus in the landmark research space of the Infolab21 building.
Our discussions with students focused on the groundbreaking work being carried out by our development team. In particular our Secure Data Environment’s cutting-edge Kubernetes-based research analytics platform. Which sounds like a mouthful. A simpler way of thinking about these technologies is as a digital laboratory to safely explore data. We also explored opportunities for training in emerging cloud technologies as well as advanced cyber security solutions. Demonstrating the crucial intersection of technology and healthcare.
Events like these and the relationships they strengthen with our local Universities help us to develop career pipelines and retain regional talent. As a result we welcomed James, an intern who joined our team in January 2025 . Their contributions will play a vital role as we continue delivering secure data infrastructure, that is fit for the growing demands in the future to support the NHS today and tomorrow. Improving our health and lives.
Lancashire and South Cumbria Secure Data Environment’s team and leadership are committed to fostering the next generation of tech leaders. We aim to deliver substantial benefits, at pace, to support our public, staff and research community alike. We welcome people from all walks of life, valuing passion, skill development and a hunger to learn and grow. If you would like to learn more about how to get involved please get in touch.
